Don’t worry, you definitely have another option where you can stay in Bali but not necessarily to have sandy feet and take the heat so much! 4. Trunyan Village Cemetery
The second destination that you can visit while exploring Lake Batur Trunyan Cemetery. When you arrived, there will be a guide who will accompany you and explain more about Trunyan Cemetery to you, including the legend that tells of this tomb in the beginning. This tomb is a very famous place, not because of anything mystical, but because of the way the local people bury their bodies in this place. Instead of being buried in the ground, the bodies of local residents who have died are simply placed in a bamboo arrangement with their favorite items while they are still alive.

Then will Trunyan’s cemetery become a stinky place? Here’s the interesting things. There is a super large tree called Menyan Tree that is believed to absorb all the unpleasant smells around it, including the smell of corpses. Regardless of people’s point of view about this, all the visitors agree thatt this place miraculously doesn’t smell bad, even in the slightest.
Before leaving this place, don’t forget to set aside a donation for community organization of Trunyan Village (or commonly called banjar).
